Notification No.: 21/2026-27
Dated: 29 June 2026
DGFT has extended the shipment eligibility period under Component II of the Resilience & Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation (RELIEF), introduced under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM). The revised timeline allows eligible shipments to qualify under the intervention until 30 September 2026.
What Has Changed
The amendment specifically extends the timeline under Component II of the RELIEF intervention. It does not introduce a new scheme or alter the other provisions of the existing framework.
- Notification No. 21/2026-27 amends Notification No. 65/2025-26 dated 19 March 2026, which introduced the RELIEF intervention.
- Under Para 7.2 of the original notification’s Annexure, the eligibility and validity criteria for Component II were linked to a specified shipment cut-off.
- DGFT has now extended the applicable eligibility period to 30 September 2026 for shipments covered under the intervention.
- The extension applies to shipments intended for delivery or transshipment under Component II.
- All other provisions of Notification No. 65/2025-26 remain unchanged.
This means the amendment is limited to the eligibility timeline, while the existing conditions and framework of the RELIEF intervention continue to apply.
Who Does This Extension Apply To?
The extended timeline is relevant to exporters whose shipments fall within the scope of Component II of RELIEF. Eligible shipments can now be considered under the intervention through 30 September 2026, subject to the scheme’s existing conditions.
The extension provides additional time for exporters dealing with logistics and shipping disruptions associated with the West Asia crisis.
What Does This Mean for Exporters?
The key change is the additional eligibility window. Exporters covered by Component II have more time to undertake qualifying shipments without the earlier cut-off applying.
However, the extension should not be interpreted as a change to the nature or benefits of RELIEF. Only the applicable timeline has been extended; the remaining provisions of the original notification continue to govern eligibility and implementation.
Conclusion
Notification No. 21/2026-27 is a targeted amendment to the RELIEF framework, extending the Component II shipment eligibility window to 30 September 2026.
For exporters covered by the intervention, the extension provides additional time to meet the applicable shipment timeline while keeping the existing scheme conditions unchanged.
